So I'm sure you all remember the famed "25 List" that ran rampant on Facebook, inundating "Newsfeeds" for a short while. I don't know about you, but I found myself reading these oddly entertaining lists of seemingly pointless facts about my friends and acquaintances. I figure I'll post mine here to give you an insight into my life, in an attempt to set the tone of my blog! Here goes it:
1. I draw inspiration for my dream house from movies like "Big" and "Blank Check."
2. I've seen every episode of "Seinfeld" and have gone so far as to print out the episode guide to make sure of this fact...same goes for "The Office" and "Curb."
3. I can recite "Dumb and Dumber" verbatim; I can even go so far as to sing the songs that accompany Harry and Lloyd's adventure from Rhode Island to Colorado, what a feat. "Here you go way too fast," or "Red Right Hand," yeah, it's bad.
4. The only food I detest is an Airhead and that's the only food I refuse to eat, I actually love brussel sprouts.
5. I met Jim Carrey. It was July of '95, I was 10, and it was the best experience of my life to this day. My cousin and I ran into him in the elevator of our hotel in Charleston; he said, "Party in my room!" and it was awesome.
6. I am the most easily amused person EVER. It's kind of pathetic.
7. I totaled my Mom's Mercedes when I was 16...awesome, it was totally something out of "Fresh Prince," my parents were out of town and all.
8. I'm an only child and desperately wanted siblings when I was little. I've always been a little peeved by the fact that if I marry another only child, my children will have no real Aunt's or Uncle's or Cousin's, a travesty, because my cousins mean the world to me.
9. I almost always get "charley horses" in the middle of the night and they almost ALWAYS make me want to kill myself.
10. I've never broken a bone...knock on wood. Although, I have faked a couple sprained ankles when I was little, just because I wanted crutches and to be allowed to take the elevator at school.
11. I'm obsessed with looking at yearbooks and/or pictures and that's where you'll find me when I go to any family member's house.
12. I have a love/hate relationship with scary movies. I like to be startled a little bit, but not too much, I will fast forward through parts to make sure nothing too gross happens, and I NEVER keep my eyes open during the "yuck" scenes.
13. I literally kind of peed my pants at the haunted house in Miami when I was in 6th grade...it was scary as shit and I would definitely go back, and hopefully not kind of pee my pants again.
14. I took the SAT for the first time in 6th grade, which I took in order to attend a nerd camp in MIssouri at Truman State University (Joseph Baldwin Academy, if you were wondering.) I was home sick for the entire three weeks and only stayed because my Dad bribed my with beanie babies.
15. I tripped over my neighbor's Golden Retriever, Kylie when I was in the 6th grade and messed up my knee, but I got to use crutches which made it all worth the while.
16. I can eat a box of cereal in an hour, which is not healthy in the least, but hey, I don't smoke a pack a day...that's how I rationalize my addiction to CEREAL.
17. I also drink about 6 Coke Zero's a day, which I am aware is also not healthy. My ex-boyfriend used to monitor the number of cans in the fridge...
18. I want to have 3-5 kids, even though it's going to be expensive as hell. I also have a list of names that I have updated regularly since I was about 12 (all girls do, if they say they have never compiled a list, they are lying, lol).
19. I'm always freezing, yet somehow never bring a sweater...sweet irony and/or repeated ill planning.
20. I never fail to fall asleep during a movie, which corroborates the fact that I have a short attention span and/or a highly functioning/highly active brain (I'd like to believe the latter).
21. I saw "Titanic" 3 times in theaters because of the aforementioned sleep issue and/or my 7th grade obsession with Leonardo DiCaprio.
22. I still cry when I watch "Land Before Time." Aww, Little Foot! :)
23. I had my first kiss at 17, I was a tad sheltered and/or prude.
24. When I go to Bern's or Morton's or any nice steakhouse, I never order steak, not that big of a fan, although I will always have a bite of my Dad's.
25. I'd take a McDonald's cheeseburger over any, and yes I've heard those nasty stories about what they grind up in their meat. Oh, and I also have read "The Jungle." But their burgers are too good. Oh, the simple things in life!
Oh, the oddities that define my life, I hope this post gave you an insight into the nature of my posts! lol :)
